ABOUT THE CURRICULUM
(Note: Walking in the Light is still being researched and written. At this time, book 1 is nearing completion.)
Walking in the Light is a 3-book series, spanning from Genesis to Revelation in content, and following the flow-of-thought in the New Testament book of Romans. The heart of the study examines what it means for a believer to be “in Christ” and how she or he can live from Christ as her life (Col. 3:4).
This study is a rare in-depth look into the Scriptures to uncover the profound truths of creation, the human condition as it originated in Adam, the Christ-condition afforded all people through the work of the cross, and (at its very heart) how to “walk in the Light” as the “children of Light” that believers really are (1 John 1:7, Eph. 5:8). The God-given content of Walking in the Light preaches “good tidings to the poor; healing for the brokenhearted, liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.” (Is. 61:1-2).
Walking in the Light is for all, but especially those who are not content with a life of status-quo Christianity. It is for the question-askers, the deep-thinkers, the skeptics, and the constant seekers of truth—who know they haven’t arrived, aren’t afraid to admit it, and are willing to keeping looking. It’s for those who have the courage to open their theology to God and let Him edit it where necessary. Yes, it is for the poor in spirit. For those who no longer want to walk “in the futility of their mind, being darkened in their understanding, [and] excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them…” (Eph. 4:17-18). It is for those who desire to go “deeper than [their] feet could ever wander…”*
